Sylvia Oliveira
Chief Executive Officer
Sylvia Oliveira is Chair and Chief Executive Officer of Wilton Re Bermuda, where she oversees Wilton Re’s Bermuda operations. Sylvia is also Chief Risk Officer for the Wilton Re group, where she has implemented and oversees the global ERM framework. Sylvia has 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including senior roles at John Hancock and Chubb Tempest Life Re, working with a broad range of life insurance and reinsurance product lines.
As a director of both BILTIR (Bermuda International Life Insurers and Reinsurers) and ABIC (Association of Bermuda International Companies), Sylvia actively advocates for the Bermuda business community and its growing life reinsurance sector. Sylvia is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Financial Analyst. She holds BA and MA degrees in Mathematics from Boston University.
Brendan Kemp
Chief Financial Officer
Brendan Kemp joined Wilton Re Bermuda as Chief Financial Officer in 2019 and has over 18 years of experience, predominantly focused on the Bermuda life insurance industry. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Legal & General Reinsurance Company Ltd. and Vice President of Finance at Northstar Financial Services Bermuda Ltd. He has also held roles with PWC and BDO International. Brendan is a registered Chartered Accountant in Bermuda and South Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) in Theory of Accounting Science from the University of Pretoria.
Laquita Zuill
Corporate Secretary
Laquita Zuill is in-house corporate counsel for Wilton Re Bermuda. She also serves as the Corporate Secretary of Wilton Re Bermuda. She has 27 years of insurance industry experience including prior roles with Swiss Re (Bermuda), Richmond Insurance Company Limited and Canadian International Insurance Company. Laquita holds an LLB from Nottingham Trent University and an LPC from The University of Law. She was admitted as a Barrister and lawyer in Bermuda in 2016 and is a member of the Bermuda Bar Association and The Law Society of England & Wales.
Travis Trott
Senior Finance Manager
Travis Trott joined Wilton Re Bermuda as Senior Finance Manager in 2022 with nearly 10 years of experience in Bermuda’s international business sector. He previously held roles with Athene Life Re, Chubb, and Deloitte.
He currently serves as a Board director for ABIC (Association of Bermuda International Companies). Travis is a CPA and holds the ALMI designation from LOMA. He has a BS (Honors) in Accounting and Finance from the University of the West of England, Bristol.

James Roberts
Chief Actuary
James Roberts joined Wilton Re Bermuda as Chief Actuary and Chief Risk Officer in June 2023. James has over 23 years of experience working with annuity products across both the pensions and life insurance industry. James has held several senior actuarial roles within the life insurance and reinsurance industry. Before moving to Wilton Re Bermuda he was the Head of Group Actuarial Reporting at Monument Re, a Bermuda based run-off consolidator focused on the European insurance and reinsurance market. Prior to this James worked for Legal & General both in the UK and in Bermuda, whilst at Legal & General he held the role of Head of Actuarial Reporting in Bermuda and held roles within the balance sheet management team in the UK. James qualified as an actuary in 2005 and has been based in Bermuda since 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from York University.
Taiyana Allen
Taiyana Allen joined the company in 2019 as an actuarial intern, becoming a full-time actuarial analyst in 2022. She earned two BBA degrees in Actuarial Science and Finance from Georgia State University in 2019, followed by two Masters degrees in Data Analytics and Actuarial Science in 2022. She also earned an AS in Actuarial Science from Bermuda College in 2016. She is currently pursuing the Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation. She also sits on the Bermuda College Insurance Advisory Board.
Dawnn Adeyemo
Dawnn Adeyemo joined Wilton Re Bermuda as a Senior Actuarial Analyst in August 2023. She holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and Statistics from the University of Calgary and has over 7 years of experience working with various insurance products in the life insurance and risk management sector. Dawnn is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) pursuing her Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation. She also holds the Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA) designation from the Society of Actuaries.
Hanwei Li
Hanwei Li joined Wilton Re Bermuda as an Actuarial Analyst in 2024. She graduated from the University of Waterloo with a bachelor degree of Mathematics and has nearly 5 years of experience in the reinsurance industry. Before moving to Bermuda, she worked for Swiss Re in Toronto, primarily focused on Canadian valuation and US market inforce solutions. She is actively pursuing her Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
