Wilton Reinsurance Bermuda Limited is a part of the Wilton Re group of companies, which specializes in the acquisition of in force life insurance and annuities. We are a Class E licensed Bermuda reinsurer and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wilton Re Ltd. Our focus is the North American life insurance market, where we provide risk capital and related services including M&A and In Force acquisitions, traditional reinsurance, and longevity risk management.

Wilton Re  Ltd. is owned by the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), the investment arm of one the largest pension funds in the world. With CPPIB as our owner, Wilton Re has the resources and expertise to pursue and successfully manage the largest life and annuity transactions in the market.

Wilton Re Bermuda Limited is a founding member of the Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers association (BILTIR). The primary focus of BILTIR is to act as an advocate for Bermuda’s life and annuity industry for public policy that supports the industry marketplace, including regulatory requirements, Bermuda government issues, and tax matters with various jurisdictions. BILTIR strives to provide a voice for concerns of the long-term (re)insurance sector in Bermuda.
